Public Diplomacy Support for Events:
Public Diplomacy within the Australian High Commission can support New Zealand organisations with travel, accomodation and registration fees incurred by their collaboration with Australia.
Funding can only be used for an Australian individual or group to speak, perform, or attend a function in support of the following Australian High Commission objectives:
-
Showcase Australia as a valuable and active bilateral partner for New Zealand across the five areas of the Trans Tasman Roadmap to 2035: Sustainable, Inclusive and Prosperous Economies; Security and Resilience; Active Partners in the Pacific; Upholding shared principles and values; and Our Peoples.
-
Demonstrate Australia’s contribution to Pacific and Indo-Pacific regions that are peaceful, stable, prosperous and resilient.
-
Promote bilateral partnerships, understanding and exchange, including between our First Nations People.
You must provide a Public Diplomacy Application form, budget of costs and explanation on how your event will align with an objective above.
Funding applications will be open during the Australian Government financial year from 1 July 25 - 30 April 2026. Each application is considered carefully, and successful applicants will need to have spent the funding amount by 1 June the following year.
Applications received outside of this time frame may be considered, where funding is available.
TO APPLY: please complete the Public Diplomacy Application form and send it to [email protected].
